Wow... that's hard.

1. The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan. This is possibly the best book I have ever read and something you can get more out of the more you read it.
2. The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. This book is amazing and would keep me busy for a while so I wouldn't get too terribly bored surviving and all.
3. Annie on my Mind by Nancy Garden. Probably the book with the most impact and reverberation on my life from middle school to now.
4. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. My favorite classic lit book so far (I'm in the middle of Jane Eyre right now so that will probably change) and I have to keep my mind in shape while I'm fending off bowling ball-sized mosquitoes and searching for coconuts.
5. How They Met and Other Stories by David Levithan. Scratch that, I'm just bringing David with me!

Wow, the only reason I'm really doing this is because I haven't updated in... 13 weeks. That's quite a while. Quite a while being I-got-2-report-cards-celebrated-Christmas-fell-in-love-read-9-novels-and-hasn't-written-a-single-*censored*-thing long. Sad.

Now to the Department of Backstory. As soon as I found out that David Tennant had decided to leave the TARDIS, I immediately went into a state of panic. Don't get me wrong, I had complete confidence in the man who wrote all of the stories that keep me awake at night! but aside from that, I got scared. I love the Ninth Doctor with all of my heart. Both of them actually. He's my favorite doctor and I can't imagine anyone replacing him but I still have a soft spot for Ten. He was amazing, just not as FANTASTIC.

So, seeing the predicament I was in having Steven-freaking-Moffett in control of my future for the next few years and Russell T. Davies coming up with more outrageous suggestions at every turn, I really think my blood pressure went up! Then, last Monday, I decided to go on the computer. I went to youtube and typed in Doctor Who and I saw "Doctor Who Confidential The Eleventh Doctor" pop up.

I screamed, clicked on it, watched all the cheesy montages (Fall Out Boy? SRSLY?!) and waited patiently until they unveiled him. The entire time, I was trying to make a picture in my head of what they were describing. And then they threw the bomb shell out that he was 26 years old.

Had Moffett officially gone crazy? At this point, my palms were sweating outrageous amounts that would be shameful to any girl. Then, they showed him.

And I fell immediately in love.

I don't know what it was, but it clicked. I saw him and said "Wow, that's the Doctor." It didn't matter that he was only 26 and he wasn't Patterson Joseph (who I had been trying to get used to as the Doctor for at least a month), because he was Matt Smith and he had hair that put Ten's to shame.

So, I am very happy about this whole thing and have confidence that Matt will do a great job. I am so ready for all of the specials to come out so I can watch them on youtube (cos I live in bleeding America) and watch my first real regeneration (by the time I had started watching, Nine had already regenerated. The only reason I watched series 1 was because I was watching it on public broadcasting). Oh, and get the crap scared out of me by Steven Moffett who is probably sitting at home and thinking about what inanimate objects he can make eat people this time around.

My dad has always been there. He's always someone I can talk to. He's the only other liberal person in our entire town. I thought him of all people wouldn't be homophobic. Today, I was talking about British slang (I forget why) but I said something about how I say "snog" instead of "make-out" and how it was so funny because they say snog in Boy meets Boy by David Levithan. When I said that, my dad makes this face and mumbles something about how he'll have to start monitoring what I'm reading.

What the hell!

Monitoring what I'm reading? Why? Because the books is about a gay guy? Is that so bad or wrong? No, it's not. 

I just needed to rant a little about that. 

1)) JUDGE TURPIN AND THE DUKE (from Moulin Rouge) HAVE THE SAME RAPING CLOAK!!! OMGZ!!!

2)) Oh gosh, when I found this one out, I almost had a heartattack! When you go to google.com and type in "Slytherin rising commong room," my Mibba and my other blog are the 3rd and 4th links that pop up!!! AAAAHHHH!!!!! I love this!!! See, my obsession has finally beared some fruits! I'm on Google, twice!, when you type in one of my favorite things ever, I POP UP!!! SQUeeEEEE!!!!!

That's all I really have to talk about unless you want to hear me rant about how sore I am. I'm not an athlete and running two miles is a killer! 

Okay, so I (finally!) got to watch Sweeney Todd at my friend's house this weekend and oh my gosh, it was soo good! I already knew all the words to all the songs and I belted them out. The only problem I had with the movie with general was ALAN RICKMAN'S PANTS!! Oh gosh, the entire length of the movie, his bright gold raping pants were in my face! While everything else was black and white, there was Alan Rickman's creepy, pedophile pants right in my face. Halfway through, I just wanted to scream "GET YOUR GOLDEN CROTCH OUT OF MY FACE YOU PERVY OLD MAN!" and throw a pillow at him. Gosh, Judge Turpin was perverted. Like the scene with the gigantic cloak where he practically tackles Benjamin's wife and, well, rapes her. I think just about everyone in the movie got raped or was raping someone at some point.

Plus, when did sorting crazies by their hair color ever happen? Oh honestly, "Well, there's the blondes, the brunette's, the red head's, and brownish-yellowish ones, the reddish-brownish ones, and strawberry brunettes, the salt-and-pepper ones, black hairs, and balding." C'mon, yeah right! 

Over all though, it was pretty much the best movie I've seen in a while. Other than "Death at a Funeral." That was hilarious and had Matthew MacFayden in it so it got three thumbs ups by me. 

Yeah, movies!! The next day I slept 14 hours (sooo nice!).

I'm so glad that 2007 is over. Not to be depressing or anything, it just wasn't a very good year.
REASONS WHY 2007 SUCKED:
1) My mum's best friend (who is also the mum of my two best guy friends) went into surgury twice because of a bunch of crap with spinal fluid in her spine and other stuff.
2) My guy friend who's mum went into surgury recently had surgury himself and had a metal bar placed in his chest to keep it from caving in on his vital organs. I also found out that this is one of the most painful surguries you can have and when we visited him, he didn't look very good.
3) All of my best teachers left me at that hell I call school. Because I'm in GT classes, I was supposed to have all my teachers twice but my two favorite left and I still have Mr. Whiz!
4) My friends and I had a major growing up phase and reality check this summer with all of the first real drama we've had. Urgh, love stinks.
5) My old best friend joined a theater group and I never get to see her.
And a bunch of little things that I was thinking about earlier but can't remember at 6 in the morning without sleep.

So enough of the pessimism, RESOLUTION TIME!
1) Finish DOL and start sequel
2) Compete in NaNoWriMo
3) Stop eating inhaling junk food and work out more
4) Read set books I have written down in my room but I'm too lazy to get up and get.
That's pretty much it. Last year, I resoluted to be vegan and it didn't happen. In fact, I believe I was eating chocolate as I was writing that down.

In other news, I'm going to get to go shopping this week at the gigantic mall that has every store I've ever wanted plus every store I didn't know existed and an ice skating rink. I haven't really done any after Christmas shopping this year unless you count spending $60 at Barnes and Noble (in gift cards!) shopping. Which I do.

Anywho, my back hurts because I'm sitting in a backless chair at the computer because my cat stole the comfy chair and I'm too nice to move her so tata for now!

Oh gosh, I haven't been on in quite a while and let me tell you, there is quite a reason behind it.

First off, we had two (now three) computers in our house. My mum had to use one to do homework. The second was usually taken by my bratty little sister who likes to steal things of mine and use them even if she doesn't particularly want to but really just to annoy me. Urgh. Buuutttt, for Christmas I got a computer of my own! (YAY CHRISTMAS!!) For two days, it wasn't hooked up with the internet so I played a whoolllee lot of solitare while listening to the Wicked soundtrack (I had my computer and I wasn't going to let a little thing like not having internet stand in my way of wasting my entire life away on it). Then there's a whole lot of crap including Guitar Hero, beating my brother at Guitar Hero the first time I had ever played, Singstar, beating the living crap out of anyone who challenged me at it, and my crazy relatives from Pennsylvania/D.C. And that was just one day. Not a lot of time to go on the computer what with me having to beat everyone at everything they got for Christmas.

Second of all, DOL update. I have now written just about all of Chapter six (thank the Lord) and it should be posted soon although I think the queue is still closed at HPFF.com what with the Holidays and such. It shall be up soon, I swear! *looks around nervously*

Third of all, other than beating everyone and getting a computer, Christmas this year sucked. I knew I was getting a computer two weeks ago because it came in the mail and that was really the only present I got except for some little stocking stuffer stuff. I'm not trying to sound selfish but really, it did not feel like the Holidays at all to me. Even as I sit here, typing on my new computer, it does not feel like the Holidays. Then, I spent all of the money I've been saving away with my life to bye a cute little green camera but I'm not sure if that was too smart. Christmas came to fast and it still doesn't feel like it ever got here in the first place. 

Fourth of all, the stupid weather here is changing like a yoyo. One day, I can wear a short sleeved shirt and not freeze, then it's so cold, you don't feel warm in a parka. Blah, I hate Texas weather!

Fifth of all (although I'm extremely off topic. And I don't know if I spelt that right), I haven't gotten to read in forever. The last time I read was probably about two or more weeks ago. I feel stupid. And, I still have to read "April Morning" for History which just so happens to be a boring book assigned by an even more boring teacher. If my history teacher were to fall off the face of the earth, I wouldn't notice. Actually, I would throw a party. A big party. With confetti. And really expensive singers performing. Maybe caviar. You get the picture.

So, my New Year's Resolution, if i don't get a chance to post an entry before then, is to read something before I go back to school, finish two more chapters of DOL and get the sixth chapter up and readable. There, rant over.

 After getting a comment on my fanfiction about how she thought Snape seemed a little OOC, I thought about it for a while and came up with this: Snape acts OOC in my story and probaly others because, not only doe he have a daughter, he and Lily were in love so he's not as bitter as he is in canon. Not only that, but Harry isn't there yet so he doesn't have a visual reminder of how terrible his life is everyday. Just thought i would say something about this since I don't think  he acts OOC for the situation but he does act OOC somewhat.

I just found out about NaNoWriMo (because I can only find out about things after they are already over of course) and have decided it would be pretty cool to do. Wow that was random but it just came out.

Other than that, I'm stuck in my little world of the computer which I will get to be even more (only a 1/2 a day left until school's out) in which I am finishing chapter six of DOL, playing waaayyy tooo much solitare, making and finding icons, and anxiously awaiting the next chapter of YOTC.

Okay, a few things now about my week this week.

One: Last Wednesday was my birthday!! Yay, party!! Two: When I came home from school that day, on my porch was a box with "DELL" on it. I started squeeling and my mom started saying "Well crap, you weren't supposed to know about that yet." So yeah, I'm getting a computer for Christmas and everytime I think about it, it makes me so happy I could cry.  Plus, I got a graphics tablet and I didn't have to buy it myself which means I have $175 saved that I don't have to spend on anything! ANOTHER PARTY! Third thing: I got asked to the dance and it was yesterday night. heehee, a lot better than last years and this year, I even danced even though I looked like the biggest loser you had ever seen if you had been there. But my friends were there and my date and I learned to dance at church camp so neither of us can dance. Fourth thing: I'm almost done with chapter six of Daughter of Loss so if I remember to post something on my author's page at HPFF.com, now you know. I haven't updated in over a month and I bet that if some of the people knew where I lived, they would be coming after me with pitch forks. I know because I've had that feeling before (coughcoughYear of the Catcoughcough and coughcoughEchoes from the Pastcoughcough) so it's a good thing they don't know and that none of my friends read it or else they'll be on my case. Fifthly (is that even a word?!) I got to spend the night at my friend's house last night and we stayed up until 5 in the morning (we got tired from algebra during school and the dance) and ate cold noodles with queso and drank zipfizz. So now I'm tired, have no appetite and I'm plotting on stealing my computer from my parent's closet and figuring out the installation in my room.
